What is it like working for TJX Europe?:

Working for TJX Europe is extremely rewarding. Every individual in this company has a specific and valued role, and the business will continue to recognise and champion this. It’s a very community orientated organization, and the strength of the human relationships really play into the quality of work that we achieve as a team.

Tell me about your career progression/on-going development with TJX Europe.

I have been with TJX Europe for just over a year now. As part of the EU Comms team within the Brand & Marketing department, my role has grown tremendously since 2016, when it was a very new idea for the business. We have seen some fantastic results in terms of organic social media growth, and with the company’s continued support, this is only going to get bigger and better.

How much responsibility are you given?

I am given a substantial amount of responsibility, both from a project and people perspective. I have day-to-day responsibilities to manage and coordinate both our agency partner teams, but also our internal PR & Social Officer, whom I work very closely with.

What is a typical working day like?:

I always begin the day by checking all of our social media channels for TK Maxx and Homesense to engage with consumers and assess performance of our live content. Mornings are normally made up of update calls and meetings with internal stakeholders and agency partners, to plan our to-do’s for the day/remainder of the week. At lunchtime I’ll do another sweep of our channels to continue conversations with consumers/fans, and the afternoons normally consist of a strong focus on writing/developing plans/projects. I will then do a final sweep of channels at the end of the day, closing the loop on the day’s conversations with fans.
