How do we make sure customers all over Europe know about our business, and keep them buying products both in store and online? That’s down to our Brand and Marketing teams, who plan and execute activity across six different countries.

On our 12-month Placement Programme, you’ll rotate across two of four Brand & Marketing teams, gaining experience in Gift Cards, Communications, Corporate Responsibility or Store Experience. And you’ll collaborate daily with partners in the broader Marketing team and other business areas. You’ll be contributing towards our strategy and tactics from day one, grasping what Brand and Marketing means in an off-price organisation as you hone your skills.

You’ll balance creative thinking with a sharp commercial focus. Our off-price business model means that things move faster than at other retailers, so you need to be agile and ready for whatever challenges come your way.

Gift Cards are responsible for a significant volume of sales with several revenue streams across all our European markets in store, online and externally to third parties. Our comprehensive range of designs reflects our unique proposition. Gift cards are managed as an end-to-end business unit from working closely with our internal partners in Finance, Creative, Marketing, Legal, Stores, Operations, Procurement and Risk. Throughout this rotation you’ll get to understand our gift card programme and the benefit to the business, build relationships with internal and external partners and attend industry events and conferences.  You’ll be working on a range of projects, from implementing new gift card designs, evolving our digital offer, to analysing the performance across different fascias.

Our Consumer Communications Team help develop the profile and reputation of the TK Maxx and Homesense Brands. They’re responsible for delivering high impact integrated PR and social campaigns. These increase brand awareness, reach, advocacy and engagement with our target audience. This is achieved with an integrated strategy across media, corporate and social media channels.

You’ll support the execution of PR & Social brand campaigns across fashion and home as well as working on the evaluation of these campaigns.  You’ll get the opportunity to co-ordinate press events as well as helping identify key targets for inclusion in our strategy.  As part of this rotation you’ll work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including our Buying teams, Internal and Corporate communications teams and e-commerce.

Corporate Responsibility are passionate about working to the highest levels of integrity. Quite simply, it’s about doing the right thing. Our Corporate Responsibility programme focuses on four key areas:

  • Taking a responsible approach to sourcing and trading
  • Reducing our impact on the environment.

On this rotation, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the whole Corporate Responsibility spectrum, including:

  • Contributing to our charity partner campaigns on cause-related marketing brief development
  • Campaign planning and analysis
  • Support the development of our reporting on Social and Environmental framework
  • Development of internal and external communications to engage customers and associates.

Shopping Experience support brand growth in line with our mission and values as well as our aim to become one of the biggest and best brands in the world. They drive developments for in-store and online customer experience in order to reach our commercial targets. Guided by your mentor, you’ll have your very own innovation projects, gaining cross functional working experience. You’ll build your understanding of customer and consumer behaviours as well as learning how to develop new product categories, supporting our ‘bricks and clicks’ of the future.
