Our Product Development team ensures that we fill gaps in the retail market with fantastic fashion and exceptional quality via our range of Private Labels.
To ensure we deliver the right trends and fashion to our customers, some of our merchandise is designed by our own fashion and style experts and then manufactured for us. Working in Design, you’ll begin to build your understanding of our market and customers by developing competitor reports, trend forecasts and key product analysis. You’ll also support the designers in design development for multi-products including artwork development and CAD design. You could even be responsible for vital trend and retail information as well as our colour and resource library.
You’ll start in buying by supporting the Product Development buyers in evaluating the market and using key weekly reports to gain an understanding into the business. Along the way, you’ll learn how to make commercial recommendations to drive sales and profitability. You’ll also get to visit stores, attend local trade fairs and shadow closeout buyers on deals.
We’re proud of the fact that our garments are constructed to the highest standards in line with ethical and legal requirements. As you provide support to the Garment Technology department, you’ll develop an understanding of how garments are constructed. You’ll also learn about the sample measuring process for pre-fit session preparation and support fit sessions. You’ll build your brand awareness by liaising with vendors as well as attending store visits and competitor shopping with the team to assess quality and product.
Here you’ll get an end-to-end view of our Private Labels processes, which have touch points across all areas of our business including finance, logistics, third party communications and legal. This will build your understanding of the value of branding.
