Training & Benefits
What sort of training and development do you offer?
For the 3rd year running, we’re proud to have been voted ‘No.1 company for Graduates to work for, in the Retail Larger Intake sector’. We believe this is down to the quality of our training and development programmes.
We like to mix things up, so we offer 1-2-1 workshops as well as on-the-job training covering an understanding of off-price, functional skills and self-development.
We shadow and coach our team members to make sure they’re on the right path and are making the most of their potential – it’s all about nurturing their talents.
We also offer a ‘buddy’ – someone to make them feel welcome and at home, and to turn to if they start to feel out of their depth.
We offer support at every step of the way while your child learns. All they have to do is to come in with confidence, an open mind and ready to learn something new.
What are the perks of being a TJX Europe employee?
We value our associates and their contributions towards our business. As such, we offer the following benefits:
Graduates: Our Graduate programmes have competitive salaries with most starting at £25,000 (Finance Graduates start on £28,000) and all are reviewed annually.
Apprentices: On the Apprenticeship programmes salaries start at £18,000.
Placements: All our Placement students get up to 12 months of invaluable experience before heading back to their studies. And they’ll earn the equivalent of £18,000 pro-rata.
There’s a generous holiday allowance which goes up the longer they stay with us, so there are no problems jetting off back home to catch up with friends and family.
On top of that, we give discounts on our products both online and in store to our associates, as a way to say thank you. We also provide season ticket support and pension schemes.
What kind of support is there when relocating to the UK?
At TJX Europe, we’re all about having a friendly work environment and want everyone to be comfortable at work as well as at home.
We understand that moving away from home – especially to another country – is scary as well as exciting, so we want to help make the move as smooth as possible.
For example, we know it sometimes takes a while to find the perfect flat or house, so we’ll pay for a hotel for up to 14 days.
We’ll also ship their belongings to their new home, and give them a payment of two weeks’ salary to help them settle in.
Finally, we can help set up their UK bank account, register them with a doctor and exchange their European driving license for a full UK one.
Not so scary after all.
