What is it like working for TJX Europe?
Everyone is super friendly and kind. Everyone takes the time to help you and make sure you’re ok. There is great community spirit and compassion for the wider community. Everyone jumps at the chance to get involved; it is truly a fun loving place with great people. It’s a great place to learn and figure out what you’re truly passionate about. Everyone here is empathetic to being new and super encouraging with whatever your passion may be.
Tell me about your career progression/on-going development with TJX Europe.
The Graduate Scheme is very structured and there is clear progression throughout. You have a manager and a contact for the Graduate Scheme who both look after you and address any issues you’re having. My manager takes a genuine interest in developing me as an individual and giving me the opportunities to learn new skills.
How much responsibility are you given?
I’m trusted to look after an entire category of equipment which is used by most of TJX Europe Associates. I have regular meetings with external vendors and it is my responsibility to ensure the level of service TJX Europe receives is maintained. I also have the opportunities to work on project teams assisting with my area of expertise; this means you’re involved in making high impact decisions and get to learn firsthand how those decisions are made.
What is a typical working day like?
Most days I have a good split between admin, incident management and meetings. I will take part in project meetings, speak to vendors via the phone or in meeting and resolve incidents for associates. I spend most of my day meeting new people and building relationships; this makes the work varied and exciting. Quite often I get to problem solve both within incidents and long term planning for solutions which will make my area more efficient and effective. I often get to interact with the senior leadership who take an active interest in my Graduate Scheme and my day to day work.
